Pairing xfinity remote with Fire TV-4

Hello,

We have a new Amazon Fire TV 43" 4-Series 4K UHD smart TV. I was able to get our Xfinity remote to pair with the TV such that it will turn it on/off, and control volume, and mute, but that's about it, by:

  1. Turn on your TV.
  2. Press and hold the xfinity and Mute buttons together for five seconds until the light at the top changes from red to green.
  3. Type the five-digit code for the TV manufacturer (Code:12434).
    • If the remote light blinks green twice, the code is correct.
    • If the remote light blinks red then green, the code is incorrect.
  4. Aim the remote at the TV, and press the Power button.
    • If the TV turns off, turn the TV back on and make sure the Volume and Mute buttons work.
    • If the TV doesn't turn off, try the next code.

What we would like is to be able to open the guide, change channels, record, scroll back, etc.

Is this possible?

Thanks in advance.

Hi, @user_c8e7de. Just to make sure we're on the same page, it sounds like you're trying to get full access of your X1 box, but not the TV itself correct?

If you follow the steps you outlined does it not work? Also, it sounds like you have our XR15 remote, is that correct? If not, which remote are you using? It may be on the back where the batteries are for the model information.

This code (12434) works on the Amazon Fire Omni 50" TV with Xfinity Remote - after trying all the other codes mentioned in this long-running string of comments.  Cheers!
