NESN and NBC Sports Boston
Will NESN and NBC Sports Boston still be included for customers who have Expanded Basic with the Sports Add on?

I called Xfinity twice to find out the answer to this question and th epeople who answered did not have a clue. They said they had no indication that NESN and NBCSports Boston was being removed. Ca n somebody from Xfinity tell us our options?

Hello user_gz9wz8, to see what specifically is included in your lineup, I'd have to review your account. Have you lost access to those channels or receiving an error message when you try to view them?

I am not that user but I assume he/she received the same message I did. Those of us who are on the "Popular Plan" received this message:
"As part of our new programming agreements with NBC Sports Boston and New England Sports Network (NESN), both networks will move to our Ultimate TV and Digital Preferred packages on Tuesday, January 14. As a result effective January 14, you'll no longer have access to NBC Sports Boston and NESN as part of your current TV package."
This change in service was also reported in Boston media.
Nobody who I contact at Xfinity seems to know about this change. What I and the original poster want to know are our options to retain these channels and what is the cost of these options. When I went on line it told me I would have to pay an additional $70/month which if true would send me to YouTube Tv.

This change is absolutely stupid. I pay for the extra sports package, and NESn is being taken away. Why would this be changed? Why would the local sports be taken away from the local area?
