NBC Sports Chicago Sunset

Hello

With NBCSC closing it's doors will Comcast bring their 4k equipment home to Philly so we can watch our favorite teams in 4k? If so when?

Hello, @mkflyers2k. We have 4K capable equipment available. At a minimum, you must have HDMI cables that are rated as Premium High-Speed HDMI (up to 18Gbps) and a 4K TV. I would be more than happy to confirm the equipment is available in your area.

@XfinityRaul I think you misunderstood what @mkflyers2k asked. I have a feeling that NBC Sports Philadelphia doesn't have the equipment needed to broadcast games in 4K - not that the customers can't watch 4K programming.

@ThatDonGuy sometimes i swear their replies are a bot. But you are right, NBC Sports Chicago aired all home games they aired in 4k, in all sports they had. You interpreted my question correctly, im hoping someone in Comcast can shed some light on this since NBC Sports Philly is the flagship of all NBC Sports RSNs. Why Comcast didnt give Philly 4k to begin with baffles me, but they started in Chicago. Now they are shuttering their doors in a way, I am particularly curious to see if Comcast will start airing Philly home games in 4k.

@XfinityRaul this is not the correct response. NBC Sports Chicago broadcasted in 4k for home games they covered. Since Comcast is closing those doors in one week. Is that 4k broadcasting equipment coming to Philly so we can watch, Phillies, Flyers, and Sixers in 4k? If so, when?

mkflyers2k Thank you for clarifying your inquiry! Unfortunately, we don't have any information if NBC Sports Philadelphia will be acquiring the ability to stream in 4K
