NBC Sports channel in Connecticut?

I am trying to watch the local Boston Celtics broadcast, which is traditionally on NBC Sports. I'm in a historically NY-zoned region of CT, although I don't seem to get the local NY broadcasts anymore.   When I search for NBC Sports on my Xfinity package, I see a channel called "NBC Sports on Peacock" - 34016. But when I type in this number into my TV, nothing shows up...so what is it?

I feel like I'm somehow stuck between both Boston and New York local broadcasts, which is extremely frustrating. Does anyone know what this channel is? Or how I can get access to NBC Sports in CT to be able to watch the Celtics games?

Good afternoon @user_5r0fwa. If you use the voice remote to look for a specific game, does it come up?

NBC Sports on Peacock has The Dan Patrick Show, PFT Live, Fantasy Football Happy Hour and more. The channel acts more as a hub to watch your favorite daytime sports talk shows. There is also live sports on this channel, but it is curated and setup for the on air personalities. I included a great link here below that shows a good breakdown of what is currently upcoming.

Ran into the same issue yesterday. Customer service said the Celtics/NBC Sports Boston would be on Peacock which was wrong. Also blacked out by NBA League Pass because it says the channel is in my local market. Would love to purchase the channel but doesn’t seem to be available.

user_c82itl Have you checked out the comment below from @ThatDonGuy  that is on point If your local RSN is for a different area the NBA League pass is the way to go to make sure you get to see the team you are looking for!

By "NBC Sports," do you mean NBC Sports Boston?
Do you get an RSN with Knicks/Nets games? If you do, then Xfinity wouldn't be allowed to provide you with a Celtics channel - you would have to get NBA League Pass to get the Celtics games. I have the same problem out west; I get the NBA Kings channel, as it also has the baseball A's and NHL Sharks, but because I live in the Warriors zone, the version of the channel I get has all of the Kings games blacked out.
