My TV won't connect with CBA and ABC. I get other channels but not those. I get a prompt that says they're working on it

I get a notice 'sorry we're having a problem with connecting and the it switches to another channel

Hi there! I am glad to further help with your channels. We want all of your stations working. The Xfinity app will run troubleshooting and check for any area concerns that are affecting your service. It's always handy to know if there is a network interruption causing the problem.

Here are some steps to take:

1. Reset the TV box. Sometimes electronics just need to reset and clear any old data. A fresh start is always good!

2. Check that the cables are snug into the box and at the wall outlet. A loose connection can cause a variety of problems.

3. Send a system refresh. This can be done in the Xfinity app or by saying "System Refresh" to the X1 voice remote. That will grab any updates from our systems.

4. Try both the SD and HD channels to see if it is affecting both. I show CBS is 3 or 803 and ABC is 6 or 806. You can also check the channel in the Xfinity Stream app to see if it is just affecting the TV box(es).

Do you have more than one TV box? If you do, is it affecting both of them?

How long ago did this issue begin?

Does it switch you back to the last station watched when it changes?
