My Comcast box is so slow, why?

It can take anywhere from a few seconds delay after pushing a button to 30 seconds.  I can't take it anymore.  Am I supposed to pay more for satisfactory performance?

Do you know what cable box you have? The XG2 (large black square, has vertical light on right that is blue or green) is pathetic and useless, especially for apps. There are better boxes such as the XG1v3 and XG1v4. Both are very hard to get and in short supply, despite more and more people dumping standard cable TV.

I am sorry to hear that your box is slow to respond. I want to make sure we are respecting your time and not repeat the steps you have taken previously. What troubleshooting steps have you taken with your box and/or remote?

I also wanted to make sure you are aware that any time you need to troubleshoot our MyAccount app can assist you step by step. It is not just to pay your bill or to get notifications about interruptions. To learn how to troubleshoot in the future you can follow the link: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/my-account-app-mobile-troubleshooting. Honestly, it is the best app to date that we offer and super easy to use for all of your account needs!

@XfinityDena It has nothing to do with trouble shooting or solving.  I have tried all the suggested trouble shooting methods mentioned in the threads.  I have a black DVR box with a lit green vertical stripe.  These are under-powered for the job.  I am mildly annoyed you want me to waste more time trouble shooting when the boxes are the problem and nothing can be done except an upgrade. Unfortunately XFinity has a low supply good DVR boxes.

Would you be okay with a cable box replacement if we were to swap out the deefective box for a new one?

I no longer work for Comcast.
