Movies! Channel gone again as of Sept. 1, 2036

Movies! Ch no longer showing on ch 1161.  Seems to have been replaced with MeTV which is already showing on ch 1015.  Any plan to restore Movies! ch availability on Xfinity cable?

First they took TCM away

Now it’s the Movies! channel

One of my favorites

We are losing access to classic movies!

Unless we can afford to purchase them

Meanwhile our cable bill rises every year

Good afternoon user_fs3e7r I can definitely understand the concern if some channels you enjoy are no longer in your plan. I will be happy to look into this further. I do have a couple questions to better understand. Have you made any changes to your plan recently? Or did the channels just stop being available for you? Are you getting a subscription is required? Or are the channels just not showing up at all?

Thank you for reaching out about the channel change. At this time, Xfinity does not have plans to restore the Movies! TV Network on that channel, as the change was made by the local broadcast station rather than Xfinity. Movies! is a digital subchannel that is carried through local over-the-air television stations. Xfinity provides the programming feed supplied by the local station for that channel. If the station chooses to replace Movies! with another network, such as MeTV, the channel lineup will reflect that change. We understand this may be disappointing for viewers who enjoyed the Movies! network and appreciate your feedback.

Who do I contact at my “local broadcast station” to protest against this nonsense?

Not only has Xfinity removed Movies channel now I see Me TV programming has been replaced by some local “pod cast” called Off The Record being televised! Seriously?!? You charge a ridiculous amount of money and cannot afford to provide better service? THIS IS TERRIBLE!
