geumjandi Hello, and thank you for reaching out through our Xfinity Community Forums. I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue with MLB Network. Just to help narrow things down, is the audio/video sync issue happening only on MLB Network, while watching live TV or are you seeing this when on demand and when watching something from your DVR library?  Also, does it occur on all of your TV boxes and the Xfinity Stream app, or only on one device? We'll be happy to take a closer look once we have a bit more information.

The audio is about 5 seconds behind the video on the live feed on my TV and on anything I've DVR'd since early last week.  Please also look at other comments on this message confirming the situation from other users.  With the MLB playoffs coming up, this really needs to be fixed.  Answers to your questions:

1. Is the audio/video sync issue happening only on MLB Network: YES

2. while watching live TV or are you seeing this when on demand and when watching something from your DVR library? on the live feed on my TV and on anything I've DVR'd since last week.

3. Also, does it occur on all of your TV boxes and the Xfinity Stream app, or only on one device?: I only use the one device.

geumjandi thank you for your replies related to the issue, I would like to get a bit better understanding of the issue at hand as you have described an isolated issue to only one channel which sounds more than likely to be an issue on the side of the broadcast network itself as opposed to your service.

I would think that xfinity would want to check that the service they're suppling to their customers is working correctly.  Are you saying that I should somehow contact MLB Network?

@geumjandi, I understand your point, and we're not trying to suggest that it's your responsibility to contact MLB Network directly. Since you're receiving the channel through Xfinity, we want to understand what's causing the issue.

The reason we mentioned the possibility of a broadcast-related issue is that you've described the problem as affecting only MLB Network, while your other channels appear to be working normally. When an issue is isolated to a single channel, it can sometimes originate with the content feed being provided to us rather than with your equipment or service connection.

That said, we'd still like to investigate further from our side. Can you tell us exactly what you're experiencing on MLB Network? For example, are you seeing pixelation, audio problems, a black screen, an error message, or something else? The more details you can provide, the better we can determine whether this is an issue with the channel feed or something affecting your service specifically.

As mentioned before, audio is about 5 seconds behind video.  That's it, that's the issue.

New post on this issue... Only happens on MLB channel, all tv boxes, watching live broadcast or dvr content.

Same for me. All 5 boxes in my house. Streaming app works but the channel being off by 5 seconds has made it impossible to watch for the final weekend of the regular season.

Hi there! We wanted to check in and see if you're still experiencing the same issue on the MLB channel. When you tested most recently, was the problem occurring on live broadcasts, DVR recordings, or both? If the issue is still happening, please let us know exactly what you're seeing (pixelation, freezing, audio problems, error messages, etc.), and we'll be happy to continue troubleshooting with you. Also, do you ever see an error code or message? Thanks for your time, and we look forward to hearing back from you!

Xfinity Gabriel you've got to be kidding us? Read the thread, this issue has been well documented for 5 days now. Xfinity has been derelict in their duty to serve their customers. You have all the information you need if you read above. This problem should have been solved long before now and XFinity owes their customers an explanation an update an immediate resolution and an apology.

@XfinityGabriel please read this entire thread. It’s almost like you haven’t at all. This channel is one I will be watching for 90% of October with the MLB playoffs. I think the math there means if it isn’t working properly, I should be refunded 90% of my bill for this time period.

Stop asking questions that have already been answered and take ownership of the issue and fix it. It’s obvious that issue is on xfinity side off the broadcast and not mlb network. I googled issue many times and only people complaining about this are xfinity customers!

Thank you so much for your feedback on this issue, user_9l23ty. We can see an audio-to-video desync issue when navigating to the channel; however, this does not show that it is specifically an Xfinity issue. We're happy to collect data for our reporting processes to resolve this issue as quickly as possible.

Same issue going on for several days now.

Xfinity needs to fix this with the MLB network.

And the card attached to the reply stating that it is an official xfinity employee replying can't be true, because it mentioned it could be someone from leadership.  There's no way someone from leadership (or any of the other teams mentioned) is seeing all these negative comments and is not checking the actual feed from MLB Network.

geumjandi We are actually a corporate based team. Part of the troubleshooting process and being able to remotely send calibration signals, we need to confirm your identity through the process we discussed in the direct message thread. We completely understand wanting to get things sorted out as quickly as possible, but we need to confirm identity with the security code we discussed, and if you do not want to walk through that process, we are unable to help get this sorted out.

That's ridiculous.  There are multiple reports of this issue from separate users.  All you have to do is check to see if the issue is true.  No other steps should need to be taken.

This is a crazy thread. I am having the same issues as others have stated with the same 1 channel (MLB Network) and this needs to be escalated to support that can actually fix it. MLB playoffs are literally starting tomorrow and this service makes the channel almost unwatchable. Please get someone with technical support that knows how to fix this (on XFinity or MLB Network side) and help your customers.

This is indeed a CRAZY thread. Hard to believe Xfinity is so unresponsive to its customers. This should've been fixed days ago and we're all paying for a channel we're not receiving which is unacceptable.

It seems to be an mlb network issue since all other feeds are working properly. Xfinity should contact the technicians at MLB Network and insist that they repair the feed asap.

UPDATE: Just spent 35 minutes with an Xfinity Supervisor who was about as helpful as my 12 year old neighbor. She was completely unaware, didn't even seem to know what the Community Forum was. HELLO?! ANYONE OUT THERE XFINITY? Beautiful fall weather in the PNW, baseball playoffs start tomorrow, we're paying for this station because we're fans and after four days you're still unaware and unresponsive to your customers?!?

Same issue happening in Olympia, WA for last several days. Audio is approximately 5-7 seconds behind video. The issue is happening with all MLB Network shows and national commercials. Audio for local commercials, including ironically, an Xfinity ad, was fine. Seems like this might be an issue specific to the Northwest?

Very odd..I live in the Chicago area and 2 days ago I checked the station and saw the problem. But since  yesterday morning,

everything was back to normal. Yet I haven't  seen one post in the several threads about this confirming that it is fixed.

I've checked the live feed on mlb.tv and the sound is fine. It is only there when on xfinity's live cable feed. Very frustrating!!!
