MeTV

Nashville channel 1044/22 has been having signal issues off and one since Friday off and on. The channel has asked anntena customers to reacquire the signal. We have been left without a solution.

1044 comes in for me after a few minutes in the morning, like maybe halfway through Leave It To Beaver. I just switch to a different channel for a bit and keep turning back to 1044 until it comes through. 22 is just too low def and messed up to bother with. I’ll be glad when the HD channel is playing with no problems. Like to start the week day mornings with The Beav and Perry Mason. 🙂

Totally agree.  But the cable system should fix this once and for all.

Not near tv right now, but somewhere in settings you can have it to automatically tune to the HD version of any channel that has it. I temporarily turned that option off that day to check the standard version, and the picture was really bad.

Okay, so MeTV (1044) came in fine for a while this morning, up until maybe partway through Maverick, then it started stalling, then froze, then totally black screen and no sound.

Here's maybe a solution, for the time being, that may work for some people. If you have a Roku (not sure about other streaming devices; Roku is what we have), go to or add the Xfinity Streaming Beta channel.  If you're just now adding it, you'll get a code on the screen. From your computer (think it'll work from your mobile phone, etc, browser too), go to xfinity.com/authorize and type in the code that's showing on your Roku screen.  Once the channel is loaded on your Roku, you can choose "Live TV".

To get to the HD version of MeTV faster, go to settings, and set HD under preferences.

Granted, even this way, it has reloaded a very few times, but each time it's been pretty quickly (just a few seconds), and it hasn't (knock wood, so far) froze or gone kaput completely like it's been doing over regular Xfinity.  Granted, could be it's working just as well right now over regular Xfinity as it is on Xfinity Streaming Beta on Roku, can't tell without switching inputs back and forth, but in any case, at least this may give some of us another option for watching the channel.  (As I've said before, I think, none of the local ABC or sub-channels can be reached over antenna, so that's not an option for us.)

Early this morning I was able to watch METV. So far it's still there. We will see if it has a permanent fix now.
