MeTV Toons Finally on Xfinity channel 1736

Just in time for Christmas , a gift from Xfinity to us.

They are finally offering the National /East Coast feed of MeTv Toons.

You may get the channel or get an XRE message (XRE 03137 or XRE 03117) it may take a few days for Xfinity to add it to our packages.  Watched for 30 minutes then video would stop and replay .

We waited this long, I guess a few more days.

Which Xfinity package do you have in order to get access to watch MeTV Toons on channel 1736?

I currently subscribe to the Limited Basic package (local TV stations and a few subchannels, Discovery Channel, and all the C-SPAN there is) with severely antiquated cable boxes dating back to the 2000s ...one Motorola box with on demand access on a HDTV and one DTA box (small box with a green light when on) on an old box tv that still works. No streaming capability with the old Comcast boxes I use.

No access to a channel 1736 on the Motorola and the DTA goes up to channel 1199 before it turns over to channel 2.

Just need to know what to upgrade to receive the channel 1700 series.

Lucky to own a ton of DVDs of US TV animation and Anime to tide me over until I can upgrade my access.

I have Ultimate/ Sports and Entertainment,  I am not sure if it's included in the Limited package however it should be because most of the times MeTV Toons is on a subchannel of a local broadcast.   If you have patience and time you might want to chat with a representative to find out if this is included they may even have you upgrade your boxes to X1. Just be careful when they say they can mail them to you because there is a charge. You may want to go to your local Xfinity store as well if one is near you for more information.

Good Luck!

@stevebpsf   In June, I attempted to swap cable boxes...the new boxes with streaming access would tack on an additional $12/month lease fee each.  I am sticking with the old boxes because the Limited Basic package with local TV stations in Standard Def and HD can be received.  Don't really watch or subscribe to streaming services to justify paying more.
