MASN Support response to removal of MASN in Franklin County

It is not good news. Here is the response I received from MASN:

Thank you for reaching out to us regarding the recent removal of MASN from your Xfinity service in Franklin County, PA. We understand your frustration and appreciate your loyalty as a subscriber.

As of August 20, 2024, Comcast has made changes to its channel lineup, which unfortunately has resulted in MASN no longer being available in Franklin County. This change is due to adjustments in Comcast's service capabilities that now align channels with the appropriate regional broadcast territories.

While we regret the inconvenience this may have caused, we want to ensure that you can still enjoy Orioles and Nationals games. These games are now available for purchase through MLB Extra Innings on your TV or via MLB.TV on your mobile devices, computers, and laptops.

For more information, please check the MLB Extra Innings package on your TV or visit MLB.TV online.

We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding. If you have any further questions or need assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Worst part of it is it’s only part of Franklin county that had it removed(greencastle, Waynesboro, mercersburg).  Chambersburg and the part of Shippensburg that is in Franklin county still has MASN which is what makes ZERO SENSE.  I’ve fired off emails to the MLB complaining about the piss poor choice in doing this and refuse to pay for MLB extra innings.  I feel others should as well and put the pressure on them.

When I subscribe to mlb extra innings the Os games are blacked out so I literally have no options... frustrating!

I had the same issue when MASN was removed from Xfinity. I emailed MLB customer service and got a response within 10 minutes, asking a few questions. I answered, and 5 minutes later, they took care of it and removed the blackout. Go to https://support.mlb.com/s/contact-us.

It works now. If you subscribe and live outside the market, which as of August 20, at least part of Franklin County is, and subscribe to the MLB package, you should not be blacked out, and MLB concurred with that.

You may want to give that a shot. You are entitled to it with the purchase of your Extra Innings subscription.
