Marquee

I do not know what the status of Marquee sports will be but I do object to the cost of their fans and non-fans. I for one will consider changing my choice of TV provider if the cost goes up to support the Cubs payroll. Comcast, please hold the line and not pay the Cubs

I am very concerned that we have now reached the point where both sides will wait this out until at least May. Comcast is going to bank on the fact that we won't change providers or cut cords just because we can't watch Cubs games. Sinclar/Cubs are going to bank on the fact that we will. The only way for them to find out who is right is to wait until a month or so of the season has been played and the numbers come in. I would be shocked if there is a deal before June 1st. I don't want to leave comcast but they may force me to, unless I can figure out a way to get around the mlb.tv local blackout of games.

My poor 90 year old Mother has lived the last 10 years of her life for watching her Cubs play ball..she can't do internet..and she's been a loyal Comcast subscriber for 20 years...now come on Comcast..she just wants to see her Cubs play, we will pay to subscribe if you need to charge extra for it, just get on the ball and get an agreement.  She was so sad today..opening day of the spring training and she couldn't watch her cubbies!  I may just teach her to use internet and drop comcast..so sad, she said today, guess I have nothing to live for now!  I nearly cried.  Please get an agreement soon!

I agree with all those saying that Comcast gets the Marquee Network or I switch to another provider. When money-grubbing Comcast removed TCM I almost left, but if I miss Cubs games because of Comcast's greed I WILL go. My husband and I pay a ridiculous amount of money for cable service that gets less satisfactory every day. Enough! Get the Cubs or we're gone.

I will not leave Comcast. Blame Comcast and Marquee for failed negotiations after they both knew for over a year what was going on! I’m disgusted with the Cubs after being a fan for 71 years. Greed, greed, greed and the choice of Marquee STINKS. Come back WGN!!

It sure looks like it's more Comcast"s fault rather than Sinclair/Cubs, since they were offered the same deal as every other provider who has signed up.

I called Comcast AGAIN today. I feel the only way this gets done is to constantly be in their face with this. i let them know that if a deal was not struck by mid March I am calling U-Verse and will be switching. I have been with Comcast for 41 years.  But if they do not have the Marquee network there is no reason for me to have the provider. During the summer, if I am watching TV it is usually a Cubs game. So there is no reason to be with a provider who cannot give me that channel. i want to stay because leaving is a hassle. Have to bring the equipment back, have to change my e-mail, and then have to get a new provider to the house to set up. But if this is not done by mid March they give me no choice. I would suggest others call comcast as well. Best way to get ahold of them is to go on line and click on requesting they call you. They do so in about 1 minute.

I too will cancel my service if Xfinity/Comcast does not complete an agreement with the Marquee network by opening day. And.. it betterbe a reasonably priced deal for me, a 19 year Comcast customer. Or I will switch to Hulu ,!,

Hey Ralphc10,

Would you really have to change the Comcast email? I think you could keep that.

I intend to keep the Xfinity internet service (so I'd be able to retain the @comcast email. But I'd dump the cable tv.

Even though I've been a loyal customer for over 25 years Marquee sports network is very important to me and if comcast doesn't offer it I may have to look for another provider. I see no evidence comcast will carry this broadcast. I hope I'm wrong.

I'm over 65 and retired. One of my favorite things in the summertime is to sit down and watch an afternoon Cubs game. Please do not deny me this true enjoyment. I will be forced to switch back to AT & T.
