Let Xfinity customers stream SNY

I got an email this morning that Xfinity customers are now able to stream the yes, and the Yankees through the Gotham sports app, but At the same time we Mets fans still at the pay extra money to stream SNY out of our houses, especially when Comcast is 8% owner of SNY and if the parties were motivated, a deal could probably be reached really quickly but the motivation never seems to be there. Please fix this finally I’m paying $125 for SNY this year on the MLB app a cost that should be covered by Xfinity subscription.

Hello, @DanASBNJ and thank you for your feedback. We consider many options based on our customers' diverse interests and offering a wide variety of quality channels that everyone enjoys. Each channel is chosen based on factors like:

  • Contractual agreements with the programmer to carry a channel.

We're always working to bring you the best and widest variety of programming possible, which is why we regularly review networks based on our customers’ interests.

This is not a acceptable answer. It’s just the same excuse excuses i’ve heard for years. Contracts can be modified for the good of the customers and it happens all the time if it’s in the best interest of the customers which it is no matter what the official Comcast Xfinity answer is, This concert should’ve been modified years ago back when the SNY first available on the NBC Sports app which incidentally  Comcast fully owns. Then the SNY app and now the MLB app. Had the Comcast been able to complete the merger is of Time Warner cable in New York instead of Charter because of  holier than nowNew York politicians got it blocked. It probably  probably would’ve happened years ago give Mets the same no extra cost option that is now given the Yankee fans which was obviously a negotiation that I believe can still happen between SNY Xfinity. Xfinity should immediately modify the contract to agree to the streaming. Raise the rates a little bit that people who don’t like it should have the option to opt out of RSNs fee and have the RSNs dropped, but only at someone’s request so everyone else that wants the sports programming or doesn’t eject to it can get the full features given the other providers. Stop helping me save money if actually cost me money to have an alternate way to get the content that is being excluded to save a little money.
