ION television channel signal issues?

Is anyone else experiencing endless pixelated programs on ION television (channel 437)? We love the lineup, but recently it's been like watching DirecTV in a monsoon. We can't get through a single show in the afternoon or evening without the picture and the sound dropping out with no warning. Is it just us?

We just want to know if our cable box is malfunctioning, or is this a signal issue with the ION channel itself? For the record, it's the ONLY channel we're having problems with.

Help, please. Thanks in advance.

ion is a local channel. to test the Xfinity feed supplied to the cable company, use a streaming app (phone/tablet/roku/firestick/etc). If signal is good there then ask for a tech to check the same channels (and all others at the same time) outside your home at the demarcation point. their equipment is the only way to diagnose the signal on each and specific channels at the point it comes into your home.

Thanks, Rustyben.

Sorry, but I'm not able to access ION using any of those options. I don't have Roku or a firestick. I tried Hulu, Sling, Pluto TV, and YouTube, but no luck getting to the channel. The only option I have left is to buy an "antenna" just to test out the local signal. I'm hoping to borrow one of those from a relative.

Thanks for your suggestions. I'll keep you posted.

Hello, @user_bdcf77, thank you for reaching out to our forum for help with your pixelating issues. Those are the worst when you're just trying to relax and wind down, so I get where you're coming from. Are you able to confirm if it's just this channel that's giving that issue? Are you able to duplicate the issue on a different device using the Stream app?

Marcos - I am having the same issue.

- Ion channel pixelates every 30 seconds or so on Roku.

- Roku has been rebooted

- All other channels work fine on Roku

- Signal on Roku is excellent

- Watching Ion channel on a Windows laptop works fine

- Other Roku devices have the same issue

It seems there is a problem with the Xfinity Stream Roku app with the Ion channel.  Please advise on next steps.

@user_60a203 thank you for taking the time to comment about this issue. On the Xfinity Stream app accessed through your Roku, are any other programs having this issue, or just Ion?

I no longer work for Comcast.

Our Ion reception on Xfinity is terrible.  Always pixelating.  We have just the basic Xfinity.  No internet or anything else.  What to do?  Has been going on for 3 or more years.

Welcome to our community forum, @user_2dd38b! I'd be frustrated if I was trying to watch TV and was running into reception issues so I want to help you get to the bottom of this. Are you noticing the same issues when you watch the channel from the browser here?
