Intermittent Signal Loss of ABC
I currently have a Tivo Bolt DVR with an Xfinity cable card. About 3 weeks ago I noticed that many times during the evening (between 7 PM - 11 PM) I would lose the signal for ABC on both the HD channels (channels 807 and 1027). Because there were so many shows that I was missing due to this intermittent loss, I decided to try and set my Tivo to record from the standard definition channel (channel 6). It recorded Dancing with the Stars on channel 6 on Tuesday night and it was so pixelated it was almost unwatchable.
I've also noticed that when I have this signal loss I can tune to a different channel and then go back to ABC and it will be fine. I contacted customer support for Xfinity and was told the reason I was having this issue was because my box is so old (2017) and that getting a new box would fix the problem. I have lifetime service on my Tivo DVR and I'm not sure getting a new box will fix the problem.
I've tried restarting the box and replaced the coax going from the wall to my box (no splitters) with no difference. It just seems really weird that I only have problems with ABC, every other channel is fine. Also, I can go days with the channel being fine then all of sudden I will just lose the signal again.
Any ideas on what could be causing this? Bad cable card?
