I’m getting many unwanted recordings
I’m getting many old recordings of Law and Order from 2013 on BBC America. My program says only New and from NBC. I got 6 on one night. It is annoying.

This happens on occasion. The best solution is to modify your recording and go to channel. Move it to only record on the channel that has the new episodes.
Normally the Channels field says HD Preferred. But the 3rd option is to lock the recording to only the channel with the new episodes. The recording has to have been scheduled on that channel to start. Otherwise, cancel the recording and setup the recording again on the channel with new episodes.
Sometimes bad guide data causes this at random.
