I need Peacock subtitles permanently off.

I need Peacock subtitles turned off permanently. Right now, Peacock subtitles are permanently on. I have changed the Xumo flex box, turned off subtitles on my TV, checked and rechecked all the cable connections. Restarted everything for the last year and a half. I've been on more chats with Peacock than I can count. This is such a pain. The subtitles are in the middle of the picture and not even synced with the show.

Would you please help?

user_gvfnhb To turn off closed captioning for Peacock on Xfinity X1, pause your program, press the down arrow, select the Audio & Subtitles (text bubble) icon, and choose "None". If captions persist, try toggling them on and off, using the "None" option, or restarting the app.

Steps to Disable Captions on Xfinity/Peacock:
In-App Method (Best): While watching a video, press the down arrow on your Xfinity remote to bring up the player controls. Select the Audio & Subtitles button (looks like a speech bubble) and select "None" or uncheck English.
Alternative In-App Method: Press the left arrow on your directional pad while watching to access the menu, then navigate to the subtitle option.
Xfinity X1 Menu Method: Press the Xfinity button > Settings (gear icon) > Accessibility > Closed Captioning and set it to Off.
Troubleshooting: If the captions are stuck, some users report a bug where you must select "None" even if it appears already highlighted, or restart the app by selecting "Refresh" in the app menu.

I have done all of that. I have even closed my Peacock account and later opening a new one.  It went off one time for one episode of a show. This is strictly a Peacock problem. My subtitle commands are not working.

I have the same problem. It is definitely a Flex issue. I was watching the Peacock channel, Death on the Nile, using my Flex streaming box.  The subtitles would not shut off. I tried to turn them off in the app and then on the Flex settings with no luck. I shut off Flex and opened my Xbox One with the Peacock app and did not have a problem with subtitles.
