Hello, user_q1okvt. Thanks for posting on our Community Forums for assistance. The Regional Sports Network Fee is not a package. It is a fee based on Xfinity's cost of providing regional sports programming. It's included in the video price and is an itemized charge on your bill based on Xfinity's costs of providing the regional sports networks the company carries on cable systems in each area. These costs include the fees that RSNs charge Xfinity to carry them on its cable systems, fees that are among the fastest growing components of the company's programming costs. The RSN Fee isn't a government-imposed or mandated fee and increases from time to time.

Will I be able to watch the Mariners in 2026 on the TV Plus package, without purchasing  Mariners.TV, or will I need the Premium package.

That is unknown at this time.

The Mariners have said that there will be a TV channel for the 2026 season handled by MLB but MLB will have to negotiate a carriage agreement with Xfinity and part of those negotiations will be in what package will the channel be placed. If past history is any indication is that the last time Xfinity negotiated a carriage agreement for Root Sports the HD channel was moved to the Digital Preferred package as part of that carriage agreement which is where Xfinity has also moved Regional Sports Network (RSN) in other areas of the country. The SD channel was in the Ultimate TV package.

Those were the names of the TV packages and channel lineups for the greater Seattle area as of May1st, 2025. The channel lineups have changed since that time and possible the names of the various packages. Regardless I would not be surprised if the Mariners TV channel ends up in the most expensive package which Digital Preferred was at the time Root Sports was moved there.

Hey there, user_9vbwpm, thanks for reaching out through our community forums! As seattle4sports mentioned, we don't have this information available just yet. It depends on how MLB agrees to have these games broadcasted and which channels or networks they land on. I'm sure more information will become available as we near the official start of the season. Once the networks are decided on, you should be able to look into which package they're in by using our Channel Lineup Comparison tool. I hope that helps!
