HBOmax not workingn

HBOmax is not working on my TVs - even after 2hrs with agent. Is it only me or is this a broader problem. I do not have the time for a 20min reset every time I call xfinity for them to do anything. Frustrated

Mine stopped working to. It tells me to sign in. I go through all the steps and it still tells me I need to sign in. Just a continuous cycle... 

I tried doing the system refresh thing and it didn't work.

I certainly apologize to hear of the issues you all are having with the HBO Max app. At this time you may need to take a few extra steps to see if this issue can be resolved. Try clearing cookies and local storage data (Xfinity > Settings(Gear)  > Privacy > Clear). Please note this will also sign you out of other apps as well. Once this is done you will need to re-authenticate that device on the HBO Max website (hbomax.com/tvsignin). If you still find yourself having issues after this feel free to start a Peer to Peer chat by clicking the icon at the top right of the page, click on the pen and pad icon and enter Xfinity Support in the "To" section of the chat and provide us with your first/last name and full address so we may further assist you. Also, if this fixed worked for you, feel free to reply and let us know as well.

I went through all of the steps given to me by customer support, nothing worked.  Twice I was referred to advanced support then told was told there is a known technical issue that the engineers are working on.   FOR FIVE DAY???   Sounds like BS to me!

I have the same sign in problem...the app is a POS.  From what I can tell this has been an issue for over 6 months.  If they can't deliver a fix then I'm cutting the cord, makes no sense to pay for nothing.

Hello, @user_dcc97c. We want you to be able to use your HBO services. Let's look into what's causing the sign in issues. Have you attempted resetting the cable box as mentioned above? Are you attempting to login with your Primary Xfinity UserID or a secondary login?

Same Issue with me.  Quit working a day or so ago.

are you still experiencing issues with HBO Max? If so, please visit and sign in to HBOMax.com

-When prompted select sign in with a provider (make sure to choose Xfinity and use your Xfinity ID and password)

-If you are able to play any video then please go back to your TV box and sign in again. You should be able to play any video through your TV box after these steps.

 

Also, make sure you are clearing cache and cookies and you can also try resetting your TV box. This can be used as a temporary fix as HBO is aware of this issue and we are waiting for a permanent fix.

After clearing cache and reauthenticating it still would not work on Xfinity (other methods fine phone/pc etc.)  I was only able to get it to work by unplugging xfi box for 30 seconds and powering back up.  Then went back to HBO Max app, re-signed in again as Xfinity as provider and it seems to be working now.  No longer get stuck in the Home page/account loop.
