HBO Max App on Xfinity

Is everyone having the same issues with the HBO Max app that I am when accessed through Xfinity?

 

Basically, the app stinks.  It's missing basic functionality and has many glitches.  

 

There is no “recently watched” or “continue watching” section. There is no "watch next" list.  

 

I don't see any way of pausing what I'm watching and backing out to the menu. If I hit the back arrow, the video starts playing again. If I hit exit, I leave the app completely.

 

The app works normally on other platforms. It is a mess on Xfinity.

 

If other people are experiencing the same thing, when are you going to fix this, Comcast?

 

if other people don't have the same or similar issues when accessing HBO max from Xfinity, then please tell me what I need to do to get a working app.

Well, I buy the app from Comcast and in my opinion, it is Comcast‘s responsibility to acquire and offer a usable app.

Comcast does not write the apps (other than Peacock). HBO writes the app for the X1 platform. For some reason, they did not put all the features in and used a simpler version. It could be limitations of the platform, or the agreement to carry it didn't allow those features.
