Hallmark movies won't record

When I try to record Hallmark channels it won't and now says I need a subscription. This is recent,  i used to be able to record.  I can still watch, and all other channels can record. 

My contract is changing,  but this was not part of it. What gives?

Same experience here. All of the sudden many channels either no longer appear or cannot be recorded. A message about needing to upgrade my service appears however I am subscribed to their largest channel package.

My contract not changing but can no longer record Hallmark 793 nor 794 “without a subscription.” Can view them. Have Digital Starter, and new channel lineup lists those channels

Same issue here! Cannot record Hallmark 718 or 719 "without a subscription." They are included in our channel package. I can view the stations. Nothing changed in our contract.

Hello @user_b5e50c! I can understand how frustrating this must be. This is one of my favorite channels! I wanted to check in with you to see if you were able to follow the work-around provided by others on this thread to see if it works for you as well?

Same thing here, and we have one of the higher end packages. Have we been given an explanation as yet?

@user_7f4d4b Hello and thank you for reaching out over our Xfinity Community Forum. I am so sorry to hear that you are also experiencing these awful issues, and I would be more than happy to help. Were you able to try any of the 'work-arounds" or possible fixes others have used and recommended in this thread, such as using the "Refresh" option via the Xfinity My Account App to restart your equipment? This has worked for some others experiencing this issue.

Same! We should be able to record the all channels we are paying for.  If this is a recent glitch....please fix it as soon as possible.

I am having the same issue.   When I called Comcast about an hour ago, I was told it was an issue on the Hallmark side, and they were trying to resolve it.   I guess that makes sense since it's the only channel(s) that I'm unable to record.  🤷‍♀️

I did a System Refresh (settings/help/system refresh) and it’s now able to record 793 & 794.

@Sabine45​ can you actually record?  I did the reset and have the record option back ... but when I click on it I get a red line through a circle like a canceled recording! Frustrating!

Yes, Sally…. I can record. Try unplugging your tv for a minute and then plug it back in. Then, unplug your modem for a minute and plug that back in. This might reboot everything. Here’s hoping!!

I refreshed and record option is back, but when I try to record I get the red circle with line through it.  Like a canceled recording.  Very frustrating as it is one of our most recorded channels!

I found what I think, is a  work-around solution, at least for now.....until Comcast and Hallmark can get their act together.   By finding the non- HD channels for both Hallmark channels on the Guide, I was able to hit record, and it recorded.     The trick is to hit record, while still in the Guide menu.  Otherwise, if you attempt to view those channels,  Auto Tune takes you to the regular HD channel.  For channel 793, the non HD is 186.   For 794, the non-HD is 500.    It's definitely not ideal, but at least we can record our shows that we don't want to miss, albeit non HD.   

They, whether it's Comcast or Hallmark, need to get this fixed.  It's absolutely ridiculous for the amount of money we spend, to not have full function.
