Flyers games - Xfinity records the wrong channel

Hi, I have an issue with auto team recording, instead of recording channel 847 (NBC Sportsnet) it records the 858  (NHL network) which the Flyers are not even on in my area.

I know I could manually record the correct channel but that sort of defeats the purpose of setting up an auto recording.

In talking to some folks in the NASR department this apparently has to do with whoever supplies Comcast the channel lineups?

It's NBSPH that the game was actually on.  Yea, I am in the Philadelphia area.  Is the only answer to manually set these recordings?

You must be referring to tonight's game, which was televised on NHL Network all over the USA rxcept in the New York and Philadelphia markets. If the program guide mistakenly showed that listing for the NHL Network in Philadelphia, that's why it was recorded. One question: Are you referring to NBC SportsNet (NBCSN) which you typed, or NBCSportsPhiladelphia?

Try doing a series recording for "NHL Hockey" on NBC Sports Philadelphia - that "should" catch all of the Flyers games that channel airs. The next game on NBCSPH appears to be Thursday.

Leave your team recording in place to catch the games on other channels. Hopefully, it doesn't record each game on NBCSPH twice.

This happened again on 3/6 - Flyers vs Hurricanes.  The game was nationally broadcast... so the DVR record NBCSN (which shows in the DVR as NBCSH) which was a car show instead of the game which was on NBSPH which is my local station since I am in South Jersey.

I did a chat with Xfinity and they "refreshed" my account... which I didn't think would help since the issue is more where Xfinity is getting it's programming sources rather than an account specific thing.

Unfortunatelty, I don't think there is a city-specific listing for national networks in a situation like this. Where I live, NHL Network is airing a Sharks game in a couple of weeks, but it's also on NBC Sports California, so it will probably be blacked out on NHL - but the listings show it as airing. I'm pretty sure any Sharks games on both NBC Sports Network and NBC Sports California (assuming there aren't any - the next two on NBCSN are not on NBCSCA) will appear on both channels' listings.

What happened when you tried setting up a "NHL Hockey" repeated recording on NBCSPH?
