I found a work-around by asking Claude AI (nobody at Xfinity knew about the system-wide issue this morning, or about any user solutions, BTW). If you log on here: https://www.xfinity.com/stream/listings/favorites, you may find that your favorites still live online, though not on the TV box. If they are gone from here also, this won't work. From the above location, go to All Channels (not Favorites). As you scroll down the long long list of channels, your favorites will be starred. Un-star them for a second, then star them back. Then check on your TV, you should have your favorites back. To be honest, when I tried this, not all of my channels returned. So I went back to my PC, got my Favorites on the PC screen and have taken pix of my Faves. This took about 8 or so screen shots for me, given my many favorites. When I return to my TV this evening I'll get them all back. Whether or not they will stay is something else. Good luck with your efforts, as I said I can't confirm that this work-around is 100% successful.
I re-added my favorites but now some of the channels I had previously favored but no longer are shown without the star. I re-favored them, rebooted the box, un-favored them and they are still there with out the star. Guess we just wait....
Hello, @user_yp29c4 thank you for reaching out over Xfinity Forums. I know it can be frustrating when one of the features (such as the favorite list) is not working as intended. My nieces and nephews all watch different things, so I use that option often myself.
I found a similar Reddit post where users are reporting the list coming back, so if you haven't rebuilt your list, it does sound like it may return like others mentioned. On the same post, users are reporting they can see their favorite channels still on the Xfinity Stream App, and if you do decide to rebuild the list updating through the Xfinity Stream App helped with the X1 set-top box as well: https://www.reddit.com/r/Comcast_Xfinity/comments/1vs7run/favorites_list_gone/

Same thing here. I was on with support for more than a half hour, both tier one and tier two. No help and no clarity on what happened or how to fix.
