ESPN Unlimited authentication with Xfinity account?

When will I be able to use my Xfinity login for authentication to ESPN Unlimited? I have read that Xfinity and ESPN signed a new contract in 2025 but there was still some work to be done to accommodate Xfinity subscribers. https://awfulannouncing.com/disney/comcast-renew-carriage-agreement-xfinity-espn-unlimited.html

I also saw a post from the Chicago Sun Times media reporter that said the work had been completed on the ESPN side, but it still hasn't been offered by Xfinity. https://x.com/JeffAgrest/status/2009288050765975597?s=20

Is there any update on when this will be available?

Hello @user_9df387, thank you for taking the time to leave a post. I know it’s frustrating to wait for something to be available, especially when you’re seeing reports that progress has been made on ESPN’s side. The ESPN Unlimited plan is not available to purchase through Xfinity at this time, but any ESPN channels you are subscribed to as part of your Xfinity TV package can be viewed in the ESPN app using your Xfinity credentials.

So there's nothing that can be updated as to when, if ever, this will be possible? Absolutely ridiculous that other large providers like DirecTV, Hulu, and now YouTube do allow it, and Xfinity has signed a new contract with ESPN to allow it, but it's still not available.

We have not seen any information showing that can be added through our service. The new premium tier, ESPN Unlimited, provides access to ESPN traditional linear sports channels without a pay TV subscription. Currently, you would need to subscribe through ESPN for the option. You can view any ESPN channels you are subscribed to with your Xfinity TV package in the ESPN app with your Xfinity credentials.

I wasn't asking a support question for "how" to add ESPN Unlimited. ESPN has stated that people that subscribe to traditional cable providers would be able authenticate to the ESPN Unlimited through those providers. The article from Awful Announcing says that there was a new carriage deal reached between ESPN and Xfinity. So my question was about when this will be provided. It was worth a shot to ask, but I'm really not surprised that Xfinity employees that respond to questions on this forum are not privy to that information.

Currently, there is not a confirmed timeline or internal update on when (or if) authentication for ESPN Unlimited will be supported through Xfinity credentials. I know that’s disappointing to hear, especially since you’ve already done the research and were hoping for something more concrete. If we had a rollout date or a status update to share, we’d absolutely pass it along @user_9df387.

Beyond disappointing… I signed up for Cable months ago, based on ESPN’s saying their new service would be included and 5 months later, nothing.

You keep stating "You can view any ESPN channels you are subscribed to with your Xfinity TV package in the ESPN app with your Xfinity credentials." and that is NOT true as, per ESPN, my cable subscription, which includes ESPN, should give me access to ESPN Unlimited. When will we be able to access ESPN Unlimited on our phones OR through our Xfinity cable box as currently neither work? I cannot access ESPN Unlimited content on my phone, but you keep stating that we should be able to.
