ESPN audio out of Sync

Watched Philly vs Denver last night...The announcer was saying the basket was "good" a fraction of a second before the ball went in the hoop.

This happened repeatedly.

Hello. I know how annoying it can be when audio is out of sync. I had the same problem, when watching the game, however, I am not in the Xfinity footprint, so it could have been the broadcast. I also know a short delay is often used to prevent profanity, bloopers, nudity, or other undesirable material from making it to air, including more mundane problems, such as technical malfunctions. Was it only happening on the game you watched?

Yes and have never seen this problem before. The difference was so slight, I doubt if it was an on purpose delay.

Okay, great! Did your experience change? It is funny you say that, as I often times will have the same programing on in my master, and then my living room, and notice a delay even though its the same station. I have not been able to get them to match exactly. I do not think this is uncommon. You can try to check all the wiring, and reboot the box, and maybe a refresh will catch it all up. If you notice it again send over a Private Message, and we can try some additional steps.

I no longer work for Comcast.

@XfinityBrandon I know the delay between boxes that you are talking about, but that an audio and video delay that is in sync.

Have you noticed this issue previously on other programs or TVs? Are there any other service issues you're noticing?

I appreciate you answering all our questions @tbill. I know we had a lot of them. This issue can happen for more than one reason and so much comes to mind when you describe it. If I am interpreting everything correctly the issue was only on the one channel, while watching that one event. Is that accurate? I want to make sure you have reset all your equipment and made sure all your connections are tight, and secure. If you have completed those basic troubleshooting steps and the issue is still present send your name and service address to "Xfinity Support." You can do this using the Direct Messaging icon at the top of the page. From here we can take a closer look at your equipment and signal quality.

Gotcha @tbill1! Thank you for letting me know. Out of curiosity, did you notice this on any other TV's in the home, and were you getting any error messages, or internet latency at the time? We want to eliminate if this is service related, or a broadcasting concern. In my personal experience this happens often on sports broadcasting for me.

@XfinityBrandon

I watched the first quarter on my main box, and the rest of the game on another.
