E. W. Scripps Programming Agreement Expired

E. W. Scripps cable network programming is currently unavailable as our agreement with E. W. Scripps has expired.

Please know we pay programmers to bring you the entertainment you love, and a number of reasonable offers have been made and they haven’t been accepted. Comcast is working toward bringing back this programming, but only with fair pricing, terms, and conditions for customers. I know unexpected changes to your TV lineup can be frustrating, and I apologize for any inconvenience.

I’m being as patient as I can. I’m missing ABC and other channels associated with it.  I’m shocked at Xfinity for taking so long to resolve this issue.  Do something please

It has been nearly a month, beginning March 31st, since subscribers nationwide have lost numerous TV stations that we have paid for/are still paying to receive.  Depending on one's market, affected stations include one or more of the major networks (ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX) plus any one or more of a number of specialty stations (GRIT, Court TV, Laff TV, Bounce TV, ION+, ION Mystery).

And while some of these stations are available by using an over the air antenna, streaming apps, or through the station's website, that doesn't help those of us who routinely DVR our programs to watch at a more convenient time and/or to skip commercials.

It's beyond time that Xfinity resolves this issue and gives us the full range of TV stations we are, and have been, paying for!

I know all about <https://www.xfinity.com/programmingchanges>, however that does not address my question.   When will full services be restored?

Furthermore, I would like to formally request credit for the services I am no longer receiving since March 31st.

@rjc1247 Credits will automatically be applied to customers bills who lost programming due to the E.W. Scripps contract expiration and who also pay an itemized broadcast TV fee. Eligible customers will receive a credit on May 1st or on your next billing cycle.

Please let me know if there's anything else I can help you with. How's your internet service working out for you?

I just received an email stating that xfinity is extending my free Peacock premium for another year. This is not a channel I watch regularly. I would much rather have my local channel ABC back. How can you afford to give a premium channel to customers, but cannot give me a basic channel?

I would like a realistic date when channel 7 et al is coming back?

It appears the big owners are trying to monopolize the industry. We the people are left out to sea.

We are are tired, very tired of the outrageous cost of cable.

I am expecting a credit.

I totally agree with all the other disgruntled subscribers. If it is not resolved soon I will have to look elsewhere for service. I pay way too much to not be able to access a major network like NBC. I have been a subscriber for MANY years but this is ridiculous. Get with the program and use some of the dollars that we send you every month to settle the contract!! And no apologies or credit given to its subscrtibers?  What kind of business model is that? We should be credited because we can't access networks that we pay for.

This is ridiculous? ABC is one of the 3 major networks. 95% of what I watch is on ABC. I’m losing patience. Will be changing cable companies if it’s not back soon!!!!!!
