E. W. Scripps Programming Agreement Expired
E. W. Scripps cable network programming is currently unavailable as our agreement with E. W. Scripps has expired.
Please know we pay programmers to bring you the entertainment you love, and a number of reasonable offers have been made and they haven’t been accepted. Comcast is working toward bringing back this programming, but only with fair pricing, terms, and conditions for customers. I know unexpected changes to your TV lineup can be frustrating, and I apologize for any inconvenience.

When will we here in Michigan once again be able to view shows on ABC. It is very frustrating that I pay a lot of money every month for my contract with Comcast, yet i loose a major network and am unable to watch some of my favorite shows. Can you give us an idea when this will change, or do I have to find another provider for services? Will we be given a credit for the days/ weeks that we go without ABC programmiing?

We pay WAY too much monthly for a MAJOR network to be pulled! This is totally unacceptable! What kind of discount will we be seeing? Im in Florida also and NBC is one of my most watched channel. GET IT BACK!

It's now been TEN days without the Scripps channels. Does Xfinity Comcash really care about its paying subscribers? Apparently not. Yes, there are other ways to access the various Scripps channels, all of which cost money (switching providers, going with streaming, satellite, antennae, whatever). If I'm going to spend more money to access what I am already paying for, then it must be time to "cut the cord" with Comcash and pay that money to get something instead of paying to not get something. FIX IT WITH SCRIPPS!!!!!

It appears that Scripps is blaming Comcast and Comcast is blaming Scripps for the interruption in service due to the breakdown in contract negotiations for our WPTV (NBC) station in West Palm Beach, Florida. We the customers are the ones that are suffering. Their corporate greed is on display for all to see. They do not care about providing local news coverage and National news and programs that their customers have come to rely on. Instead they are forcing us to give up the National broadcast station of our choice and local news coverage for antennas, streaming services, or other alternate sources. Since when are major national networks like CBS, NBC, ABC and others not readily broadcast and available for free to the public? It appears that Scripps and Comcast is holding us hostage as a negotiating tool with no regard to our right to free choice. They are forcing us to choose other networks while their greed is taking over.
