DVR Recording

I'm considering changing from DISH to Xfinity because I've lost NBCSports Bay Area and California. My DISH Hooper will allow me to record up to 16 different shows, does Xfinity have a recording limit as to the number of recording happening at the same time?

Thank you for the help.

Danny

... does Xfinity have a recording limit as to the number of recording happening at the same time?

https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/x1-dvr-whole-home-scheduling-faqs says, in sentences that seem to contradict each other:

X1 DVR has six tuners, meaning you can record up to six programs simultaneously. If you have multiple X1 DVRs, you can record more programs simultaneously. However, having multiple DVRs will not increase the number of simultaneous recordings.

Several other support articles also state that the limit is 6 simultaneous recordings.

It may depend on the specific DVR box. I want to say that the maximum is six, but I'm not 100% sure about that.

Yes.  Xfinity will only let you record 2 channels at the same time.

That's true for legacy service and perhaps some of the "cloud DVR" services, but physical X1 DVRs should be able to record up to six programs simultaneously.
