DVR glitch

I cannot watch my recorded video because it keeps glitching.  It stops periodically (multiple times in a matter of seconds) making the show unwatchable.  Occasionally, there seems to be a small stretch that is normal but just when you think you can watch, it starts again. I can't even fast forward because that glitches too.  Also, the remote seems to be lagging.

Based on an internet search, there seem to be others with a similar problem but I have not seen any kind of solution.

By they way, I already tried rebooting on my end and the troubleshooting available through the xfinity website, which I think ended up rebooting something on the comcast end (it said it would take 20 minutes but I don't think it took the full time).

@user_ca8b22 Thank you so much for reaching out for help with this recording glitching and your remote lagging in our Xfinity community forum! I know it is a pain when you need to fast-forward or rewind and the delay in the remote is messing everything up let alone having issues with the recording.

What you can do as a test is on a smart device download the Xfinity TV remote app you can use the app like your own remote but it is connected directly to the internet. If it is much faster in response then you know your upstream signal (sent from the set-top box to our servers) is not getting a good signal level and that can be fixed. The problem can be outside your home to Comcast servers or in the home wiring.
