Disney Junior HD?

Does Xfinity offer Disney Junior in HD for any of the markets? I feel in 2020 that all premium cable channels should be in HD by now.

Those are my exact channel numbers except they are SD. Is there a way to request they add an HD channel?

Disney Jr. HD is available in Minnesota, Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, Utah and the city of Boston currently. Other areas do not have it at this time.

Good info? Where did you find this? I live in New England, but not Boston. So I guess we are not included. I wonder why they just wouldn't offer it everywhere if it is on their system?

I manage charts for another forum of what channels are in HD throughout the country. That's where I got the information from.

Comcast is a patchwork of many acquired companies, and some of these things stem back from the companies Comcast inherited in terms of regional differences.

A few years ago, Comcast launched Disney Jr. HD on its Boston and Brookline systems along with some other channels the rest of New England still doesn't have like GSN HD and Outdoor Channel HD. As for why that is, I have no idea. Someone from corporate will need to explain that. The Boston system also has additional HD premium movie channels. While bandwidth is part of that, that's irrelevant now as channels launch via IP. Some of it is programming contracts, but a lot of it really just doesn't make much sense.

I live in Indianapolis. I just signed on with xfinity from Uverse and Disney Jr is big in my house. I can't for the life of me figure out why the disney jr content in on demand is HD but not live TV.  It's freaking 2020, come on Comcast figure it out! I haven't turned off Uverse yet and I'm considering canceling my xfinity TV.
