Disney + freezes when commercials load

On an irregular basis , the app freezes when commercials begin running or sometimes when they are half through. I either have to exit the program or exit the app entirely before I can continue to watch the program. Tried rebooting, unplugging and other suggested fixes but nothing solves the issue.
