Create TV Being Removed From Lineup
I was watching Create TV and a banner appeared at the bottom of the screen saying it will be removed from the lineup on January 1st. Is this something that was Comcast's decision? If so, I would very much like the network to stay.

I am so disappointed. I only keep Comcast because of Create TV. So very disappointed.
(of course I can only read one line of banner message……the second line is not visible on my screen…..maybe they are only changing the channel number?)

Create TV is one of the few channels that is commercial free, with high quality programs. We are Very disappointed with Comcast, and are going to look elsewhere.

Add me to the list of angry customers. Create is literally TV comfort food. How much more greedy can Comcast get?

WHY IS THIS HAPPENING?! We love the Create channel in our house. Wow! This is unacceptable.

@user_w50ftf Thanks for adding a post to the community. The local affiliate station is no longer carrying it, meaning we'll lose access to it as well as our customers that love and enjoy the content. We hope they add it to another channel at least, or have it back soon.

What is WRONG with Comcast for removing this .. let me guess MORE sports channels that I pay for and dont

Unfortunately, this is a move made by WLVT as result of funding cuts. This is part of an e-mail i received:

Add me to the list of angry customers. We pay far too much for too many nonsense channels. Create TV is one of the good ones and Xfinity should find a way to keep it in the lineup.

Not a Comcast/Xfinity decision. To express your unhappiness with this decision, write or call your US senators and representatives. They are the ones who decided to stop funding PBS, leaving the network and its stations scrambling for ways to stay on the air. Cutting costs by dropping programs is, unfortunately, a part of that effort.

I'm not a Comcast employee, just an extremely disappointed customer. WLVT is a smaller PBS station. They were providing Create TV through Comcast. WLVT lost funding due to our government's cuts, as did most PBS stations. WLVT can no long afford Create TV. As I see it, the only chance of getting it back in the Philadelphia/SNJ area is if WHYY picks it up (which is very unlikely though they used to air it until 2013) or if Comcast picks up another station that can air it in our area. Comcast can afford to do whatever they want to figure something out to get it back to their viewers. However, they tend show very little interest in customers who are focused on the arts, travel, cooking, DIY and culture. There is no substitute for Create TV. It's a bit stunning Comcast doesn't see the value in it for our viewing area when it's available to 85% of the U.S TV markets and households.
