Comedy Central cut out for The Daily Show 4/28/25

Why was Comedy Central cut off for The Daily Show today? All other channels were fine. Please advise.

Yes, this happened to me too. Another viewer using Direct TV reported it on Facebook. Even if you go to Comedy Channel's On-Demand to view it, the video is black and only the audio is broadcast. My recording just stops totally a couple of minutes into the monologue.

I had the same problem.  At about the 5 minute mark, my recording went black and stopped.  When I fast forwarded through about 5 minutes of commercials and tried to resume the recording at that point, it just jumped back to the place where it stopped and repeated the same 5 minutes of commercials. 

I checked Xfinity Stream for this recording, and although scheduled it was conspicuously absent from the list of recordings.

Finally, I tried On Demand TV and searched for Comedy Central.  I played the On Demand version, and it went black at about 5 minutes, but the audio continued.  I did listen to the audio, and note that Jon Stewart did an exposé on numerous unkept promises made by Trump and his cronies.  Is there some kind of censorship going on?  Or what?  Conveniently, the video returned when Stewart interviewed his guest author.

@user_tfr29​ thank you for taking time to reach out to reach out to this post. I was going to mention if the DVR recording didn't record as intended to check if the episode is available On Demand. Since the On Demand episode also experienced issues, this would mean the entitlements the broadcaster sent us had some corruption. You can always keep an eye for updates to the On Demand content, if a correction is made by the broadcaster we will correct the On Demand episode.

Hi user_yme650, that's a hilarious show, so I can see why you're reaching out. It's possible there was a brief interruption that impacted the network. Are you still seeing any picture quality issues on your end? When it happened, was it live or a recording?

Please work with Comedy Central to get the un-glitched episode loaded to the On Demand server.

Also, S30Ep52, April 17, 2025, is missing from On Demand.

Was able to watch 04/28 with picture and sound yesterday.

04/17 still missing.
