Comcast NBCUniversal is Your Home for Election Coverage
Xfinity’s New Multiview Experience Gives X1 Customers an Easy Way to Follow Election Night Coverage Across Broadcast Networks
With Election Day quickly approaching, Comcast NBCUniversal is preparing to bring customers and citizens across the country reliable, comprehensive, and easy-to-access coverage of the 2024 election across Xfinity, NBCUniversal channels, and Peacock.
Xfinity Multiview Preview and Election Central
Xfinity will offer its new multiview experience on X1 to allow customers a new way to watch Election Night coverage across the four major broadcast networks together on the same screen. Xfinity launched its multiview preview for sports coverage earlier this fall, allowing customers to watch the MLB playoffs and World Series, WNBA Finals and local and national NFL games simultaneously.
Multiview allows customers to watch all their local ABC, CBS, FOX, and NBC stations at once and toggle between them to switch the audio source and select any channel to jump into full screen mode.
Starting at 8pm ET on Tuesday, November 5, X1 customers with eligible devices can launch the multiview preview by saying “multiview” into their voice remote. They will also be able to access it within the platform’s comprehensive Election Central destination, a one-stop-shop for the latest election news. Election night offerings will include live coverage from across broadcast, cable, streaming apps and FAST channels, including NBC News NOW, Sky News, Telemundo Noticias AHORA and many more.
Election Central is available across Xfinity platforms, including X1, Flex and Xumo Stream Box, and can be found by saying “Election Central” into the voice remote. For customers watching on the go, or on other connected devices, the destination is also available on the Xfinity Stream app.
NBCUniversal’s Comprehensive Bilingual Election Coverage
Xfinity’s multiview preview complements the multiview experience on Peacock, which will deliver a curated three-view experience of election coverage, including NBC News NOW, a continuously updated election results map, and a “Kornacki Cam” with live analysis from correspondent Steve Kornacki.
From November 1-7, Peacock will feature an election news hub in the main navigation, so subscribers can easily catch up on key news stories leading up to and following the election.
These election coverage enhancements are part of Comcast NBCUniversal’s comprehensive voter information initiatives that have rolled out throughout the year ahead of the election.
NBC News’ Plan Your Vote returned for its third election cycle, providing the public with easy access to voter registration deadlines, early voting details, and more – straight from their states’ official websites. Visit NBCNews.com/PlanYourVote to learn more. Telemundo also encouraged its viewers to register to vote and participate in the election with its “Tú Tienes el Poder. Vota” initiative this fall.
NBC News will air special "Decision 2024" election coverage beginning at 5pm ET, led by anchors Lester Holt, Savannah Guthrie, Kristen Welker, Tom Llamas, Hallie Jackson, Craig Melvin, and Kate Snow. NBC News will produce at least 24 hours of coverage overall for the network.
MSNBC will deliver wall-to-wall special coverage and analysis of Election Night 2024 across cable, digital, and social, with coverage starting at 6pm ET led by Rachel Maddow and featuring over 100 reporters, correspondents, and embeds.
Telemundo will also broadcast “Decisión 2024” election coverage starting at 7pm ET, with Julio Vaqueiro and Arantxa Loizaga anchoring from Telemundo Center in Miami joined by Vanessa Hauc, Johana Suárez, Rogelio Mora-Tagle. Senior Washington Correspondent Cristina Londoño and Washington correspondent Javier Vega will also be reporting live. Telemundo’s coverage will be simulcast on Noticias Telemundo AHORA, which is available to NOW TV Latino subscribers as well as Peacock Premium subscribers.
