Cable tv keeps skipping and freezing on all channels

My TV has been skipping and freezing constantly on multiple channels, on multiple different cable boxes throughout the house. I have tried to reset each box individually, as well as several system resets, and still the problem persists. All connections and cables are good. I am not sure what else to try.

I am having the same problem watching KOMO TV.. Our local ABC channel.. 2 of my friends are as well.. This same thing was happening last week.. Is it Comcast or the channel issue?

Hello @Eosknepshield08, thank you for reaching out for help with your TV services. To better narrow down what the cause can be, have you done any self troubleshooting options? Things like unplugging and replugging the cable boxes, or sending yourself signals through the Xfinity app can help resolve issues like this.

Good Afternoon

I am having the same issues on the x16 box.  Replaced the 12 year old TV with $2000 new and having the same issues.  Why are we asked to reboot the x16 or restart the modem and send new signal over and over again.   Are you not thinking that the issue is a problematic cable box ?

We appreciate you taking the time to reach out to us @westcroft2. There could be a few things causing this issue. Real quick, is the happening on all boxes or just one? Are your boxes all different?

I no longer work for Comcast.

Tomorrow will be the third time having a tech come out for the same problem.  TV freezing, pixel issue, sound freezing and getting out of synch with programming once it returns.  Problem is intermittent on ALL cable stations.  Box was replaced, wiring voltage checked out both inside and outside my home.  Why does Xfinity treat this as a 'one off' as clearly it's a problem on a much larger scale.  Yet I received my 2022 rate increases for decreased service?????  When is this issue going to finally be resolved for all?

I too keep having the same issues. Mainly with Discovery ID, AMC, E, Discovery, Food Network etc…

It looks like when bad weather comes in and I have a satellite.

Yup same thing looks like I have satellite TV during a storm.
Didn’t think having cable I would have the same issues. Pretty ridiculous.
Yet they will say unplug, reset blah blah blah. Fix the issue.
Does not have the issue when I stream the channel upstairs in my room. So obviously it’s the box or cable line itself
