BTN

We have the service package that includes BTN. Why then is Comcast blocking certain BTN broadcasts? For example, it's Sunday evening and we are not able to watch the Nebraska v. UCLA volley ball match. If we are paying for BTN, then BTN broadcasts should not be blocked.

They're not being blocked by Xfinity. The Big Ten Network will not provide live coverage of any events involving Washington, Oregon, USC, or UCLA outside of the network's original coverage area (pretty much every state that had a Big Ten team before the western expansion) until it can come to an agreement with Comcast over (a) at what tier the channel should be available, and (b) how much per household that has that tier or higher Comcast should pay them for the rights to air the channel.

@user_fmjbs5 Thank you for reaching out today about your missing games on Big 10 Network. We currently don't have the rights to broadcast games airing on Big 10 Network for the following teams:

  • University of California Los Angeles (UCLA)
  • University of Oregon (U of O)
  • University of Washington (UW)
  • University of Southern California (USC)

Most of the games for these universities may be available on other channels, networks, or streaming platforms. We apologize for the inconvenience, and do appreciate your understanding.
