Bally sports Detroit
Bally Sports Detroit in my package in Fort Wayne is not airing on the channel. I am getting Tennis Channel during Detroit Tigers games. I keep getting told that Comcast does not control this. There has to be something you can do

Hello, @IndianaSniff, how are you? I am sorry were are not able to see the Tiger's game, but I hope overall your day is going well. It is true that the content that airs on a network is determined by an agreement between the network and the league. We deliver the approved program. Was the Detroit Tigers game listed in the guide? If yes, sometimes a change is made in the listing after the information in the guide is downloaded.

Comcast doesn't control what's given by Bally's to be broadcasted (same as any other provider), it's more likely which market you fall into and whatever team's broadcast rights. I think for baseball you are Chicago territory

@CCAndrew, according to MLB.com's market lookup page, Fort Wayne is in the Cubs, White Sox, Reds, and Tigers markets, so presumably anyone there "should be" able to watch Tigers games that are on Bally Sports Detroit. (The DirecTV lookup site says the same thing.) Yes, a city can be in multiple markets; Las Vegas is in the San Francisco/Oakland, Los Angeles, San Diego, and Arizona markets.
@IndianaSniff, I think you need to talk to someone in your local area to see why you're not getting the version of Bally Sports Detroit with the Tigers games. I don't think anyone at the "national" level can help you.

The issue is that it is random. One night the game is on. The next night it is not on. I have been on Comcast for years and never had a problem. I need a contact with a person that actually handles this. I either get service or I get rid of my programming with Comcast.

I also live in Fort Wayne and confirmed we are getting the Bally Sports Detroit Plus channel by matching up the broadcast with a third party website, which shows Tennis is on. The issue for me is Xfinity labels this channel in their guide as Bally Sports Detroit and shows the Detroit baseball game is on. I dont understand why Xfinity doesnt just show the real channel and what is on that channel instead of lying to their customers. Makes no sense. Must be someone in programming doesnt know the difference. Xfinity could make a change and fix whichever the issue is. Either correct the guide or figure out and fix why we are not getting what the guide says we are getting. I prefer the latter because we are probably paying for what's in the guide - I mean why wouldnt we be ? Cmon Xfinity, do better !!!

I have had the same problem. Nobody at xfinity is local, and their claim is that it’s the broadcaster’s decision.
There is no one to talk to at Bally Sports, either. The app says the Tigers game will be on, and then it’s just the Pacers and the Pistons.
The crappy analog channel 9 in FWA says the Tigers are on, and then it’s tennis.

The Detroit Pistons team originated in Fort Wayne years before it was relocated to Detroit.

Is anyone having trouble recording Bally Sports?
I record all the Atlanta Braves games to watch at a later time, then I delete them.
The past month or so when I record a game it says its there but when I try to play the recorded game, it errors out and says there is a problem with the recording.
The DVR won't playback the Braves or any recording that was done on Bally Sports channel 408. I've tried a new dvr.
I've talked to four Xfinity techs on the phone plus a tech that came to my house this morning. He called his supervisor. They couldn't figure it out and they said it was something that Xfinity would be working on.
One phone tech did say that she had one other person call with the same problem. So I know it's just not me.
I Called Xfinity again, after the tech left my house, to get my monthly bill prorated for the service that I'm not getting. This guy said I needed to upgrade my DVR, for another $10 a month. He went on to say that my DVR memory was full. NOT SO, I looked at my dvr memory used and it said 4%. I'm not going to pay another $10 a month to fix something that I'm already paying for. Besides that, I delete all my recorded programs within a few days. My storage rarely gets over 50%.
When we finally got to another actual person in billing, the guy said that he needed to talk to one of his expert techs. Next thing we herd was the automated system wanting to know if my problem was fixed.
I gave up!
By posting this, I'm actually hoping that one of Xfinty's advanced technicians will see this and try to solve the problem.
