Bad quality for NHL Center Ice (Spokane WA)
When the free preview was on, there was a nasty tendancy for the games to lose audio, and thre video to lag and stutter, sometimes so badly that the cable box would drop the game in question and kick back to the previous channel. I figured it was just something to do with the new channels.
It's now been a full month since the season started, and the games still lose audio and have video issues - haven't had the complete drop, but it's still BAD WORD HERE near unwatchable at times. It doesn't matter which team's channel I'm watching, if one game is having issues it occurs across both team's channels.
If I bring up a pirate stream on the computer, there's no lag, stuttering or video issues, so it's not the broadcast feed. (In fact, that's the only way I can watch the Flames/Canucks game tonight. The Xfinity broadcast is currently nearly a minute behind the stream, and has had no audio for about half the time since the start of the broadcast.)
I added this package for the ability to watch hockey on the big-screen TV. While I *can* watch streams on the computer, or a portable device, that's not what I *want*, and *am paying for*, and if Xfinity can't handle a cable broadcast, I don't know that I'd trust their stream quality.
The NHL Center Ice channels are the *only* ones having these issues. The issues persist through both cable box and entire system reboots. The issue is not related to streaming or any other bandwidth useage, as I didn't start the stream until after 10-12 minutes of audio and video problems.
Is this common with Xfinity (IE, I should go to the local store and get a refudn), or is it just local (IE, go to the store and DIFFERENT BAD WORD HERE up a storm)?

Hello, @Ygolonac. Toronto Maple Leafs fan here and my dad loves the Canuks. I am sorry that the Center Ice programs have been working for you like that. I want to look into your signal levels and get things working for you. Can you please send me a Private Message including your first and last name as it appears on the account? I'm seeing this stutter on every San Jose Sharks game. Every 20 - 30 seconds, audio drops or the picture freezes for a moment. Very frustrating. I've refreshed the system, no change.

I'm having this same issue (in California) and brought it up on a separate post--it happens only on nhl center ice and nba league pass. it started about two weeks ago and it's incredibly annoying.

I shoulda mentioned in my post - (seeing your post reminded me... ) I'm in the Seattle area of Washington. And yes, I've only seen it on Center Ice - at first it was just during the game, but it's also happening during commercials of games too. Yes, very annoying indeed... especially for a service we pay extra $$ for....

Same issue here in Oswego, IL. Only seems to be an issue with the NHL Center Ice channels. Intermittent picture freezes with audio drop out. No rhyme or reason when it occurs.

Lots of Audio drop out during the Sharks / Kings game. Tried the 'new' chat feature. Took 27min to get a response from ComcastPeter. I responded immediately and 50 minutes later....still no response. Are my expectations too high? I guess I'll try tomorrow.

Makes you think that they are streaming channels rather than dedicated like the lower numbered ones.

Still having the issue in Oswego, IL and seems to have gotten worse for me. I called in to see if the issue was being worked and was told it was. Doing a comparison of the same game on NHL Network right now versus the NHL CI channel and no issues for the same game on NHL Network.

"These absolutely ARE being streamed , they are IPTV channels"
Which explains why all my test recordings from the previews are cloud versions.
And why I will never order MLB extra innings again.

And as I have said in other threads, I need to go at least FF X 2 at times to get through a 4 hour MLB game. A recorded game on a non IPTV channel runs smooth at double speed.
FF X 2 speed on a cloud version has "herky jerky" motion and is unwatchable. Same for me with Pac-12

Same here in Sacramento. Ridiculously frustrating. Illegal streamings on the internet have way better quality and you don't have to pay $70...

MLB Extra Innings doing the same thing. Comcast has a major problem with these IPTV services.

I'm just going to post on all the threads with these problems.
Oregon - first time I've ordered an add on package - MLB EI - watching live seems to be fine but the cloud recordings just don't function. Skipping portions of games and every game I've tried to watch from the recording stops somewhere in the middle of the game and then is irretrievable. Last night I recorded the LAD-SD game from both feeds and they both stopped in the bottom of the second then I was able to watch the rest of the game live but in real time it was in the 7th so the 2nd to 7th was lost to me.
Definitely an issue with the cloud recordings and not the boxes or connections and is also a problem with (judging from other posts) NBA and NHL. There is also a post from a year ago with problems with the cricket channel recordings disappearing, another 3000 channel.
Should these options even be offered to consumers for extra payment if they are non-functional? How many people complain and get refunds and how many people just accept a faulty product? I imagine it's a business decision that more money can be made from a faulty product because the vast, vast majority of consumers will not complain.
