Atmos Audio on 4K Players Golf Channel 1357
Very odd on Friday's round 2. Announcers are louder in the Top Left Rear speaker of my 5.1.4 layout than they are in center channel. If I turn off Atmos processing and only decode the base 5.1 track, the announcers are mostly in the left surround. 5.1 audio on the regular HD Golf Channel is just fine. My system is not the problem. It's fine with everything else and others online are reporting the same problem with their Xfinity audio.

Thank you for reaching out to us @BIslander! Just to confirm, this only occurred during round 2? Did you notice if commercial breaks had the same issue too?

Commercials have not had the same issues of center channel duplicated to left top/surround. But, they've had an echo quality instead.
That same echo effect showed up at the start of the actual golf coverage on Thursday, went away after the first commercial break, and came back briefly once or twice during the broadcast. I don't recall the left top/surround issue on Thursday.
Thursday had about an hour where the 4K HDR video looked like 480i upconverted.

Agreed, seems like a problem at the source. It's not a local station issue, tho. It's your 4K add-on to NBC's golf coverage. And Xfinity is a major player in the 4K Atmos presentation. Xfinity added actual 4K channels for this and Comcast Business is the major driver of the 4K effort.
