apple tv

I subscribed and activated apple tv.  It shows up on my computer, but I can't record on my TV.  The TV says I don't have a subscription.

Hello @user_ba2157, thank you for reaching out on our community forum! Did you log in to your apple TV account on the TV? You would have to sign in with the log in you created at activation.

Through Xfinity I have an Apple tv subscription. I am on my Apple iMac and logged into Xfinity but don't see way to open Apple TV to watch on iMac and the virtual assistant is clueless... why is something that should be as easy as it is on my TV not available on my iMac when logged into Xfinity?

I can see why that's frustrating. Since Apple TV+ is managed through Apple, you won't watch it from the Xfinity website on your iMac. Let's try a few quick things:

1. Open the Apple TV app on your iMac (or go to https://tv.apple.com).
2. Sign in with your Apple ID.
3. If it says you don't have a subscription, log in to your Xfinity account and check that your Apple TV+ subscription has been activated.
4. If needed, visit Xfinity's Subscription Hub and make sure your Apple TV+ account is linked and active.

If you're still unable to watch, let us know what message you see when you sign in to Apple TV on your iMac, and we'll help from there.
