App access to NBCSports
I bought the Sports package for Olympic access. The NBCSports channel is there on my set top box, but if I try to access the NBCSports app on roku or via the NBC website on a browser I get a message that the channel is not in my subscription (I validate the cable provider in both cases) On a browser the message is:
Oops! Something went wrong
This network is not included in your current television subscription. Please contact your TV provider to subscribe. https://login.xfinity.com/h/tve_nbco_unauthorized_nochannel.html
It's a little different on the Roku app.
I'm having no luck explaining to customer service what the issue is. They keep trying to sell me the sports package I've already bought as the solution, or to re-install app.
Any ideas what I need to do?

I’ve had the same issue with the nbc sports app on my Samsung tv so I’m glad you posted this and hope they find a solution 👍

The FAQs are entirely misleading and confusing.
For example
Sounds great. All I need is X1 or Flex and I have access to all of NBC's live, streaming and on demand coverage.
But then later:
All coverage is not available to everyone. You have to have the USA Network in your package (which is not even in the standard Sports package!)
Then this one contradicts itself internally
Do I have to pay? No it's free -- unless of course you actually want to access the service in which case you have to pay!
