Apparently, Comcast's contracts with Disney end sometime this month. I have a feeling that when they are renewed, they will include ACC Network in some way. How it will be included remains to be seen. My best guess: it will be in whatever level, say, ESPN is in in states with ACC teams, and in the Sports & Entertainment Package (the one where you have to pay an extra $10/month) in other states.
Of course, this assumes they can come to a deal - but given that, if they don't, everybody loses ESPN, and a number of cities (New York and San Francisco included) lose their ABC local stations, I think there's some incentive on Comcast's part to get the deal done sooner rather than later. Hopefully, it doesn't get to the point where the channels are removed temporarily (and, more hopefully, not to where the channels are replaced with screens blaming Disney for "not accepting a fair offer" and to call Disney, especially as Disney knows it is more likely that the longer this runs, the more viewers will leave Comcast).
The ESPN/Comcast contract expires in January 2022. So don't get too excited that they're running out of time. Speculation was a deal would be done four months out, that's why people have been saying September, but there's still enough time left on the contract to miss the entire ACC football season and part of basketball as well.
@ATLDC I do not think I will wait that long. I am tired of signing in with other people's info to watch games, but for football it's just 1 or 2 games a weekend. Not going to do that during conference basketball games which start in January. Comcast is an idiot for playing this game. People are not loyal to their cable provider, they are loyal to their sports team.
