4K UHD / HDR Content and HDCP 2.2 Protocol
Playing 4K UHD (Ultra High Definition) / HDR (High Dynamic Range) content requires High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection (HDCP), a protocol that protects against piracy. To comply with this regulation, your TV Box now needs to be plugged in to an HDCP 2.2 compatible port using a HDCP 2.2 compliant HDMI cord.
Since configurations vary, check your TV or receiver’s owner manual to confirm. For more information, please see 4K UHD Requires HDCP 2.2 Compatible Port Error Message.
