My bill for Jan 2026 went up ~$16 per month under a 5yr locked rate contract. This seems to break the contract. Comcast advertising a 5yr rate lock is false advertising. Any TV program cost negotiations should be absorbed by Comcast not the customer. I knew this was to good to be true. Good thing I can change my package to a lower rate.

Hi there, @user_uej1ua! Thanks for reaching out to us here on the Community Forum. It's always tough when there is a price increase. We did have TV rate increases as indicated on your December billing statement. The 5-year deals are for locked in internet service only. If you have cable TV as well, the TV services are still subject to rate increases under that 5-year duration.
