I cancelled and terminated my xfinity internet service, but I still got charged for the next billing cycle. How and when can I get my refund?

Concern moved here to the Billing help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

user_drbb5n, Hi there! Thanks for reaching out. We will surely miss your business. I can understand the importance of receiving your refund after cancelling the internet service. You've reached the right place. We are a team of specialized experts who can help with refund inquiries such as this over social media. Can you tell us how long ago you canceled the service? Was all the equipment returned? Normally, when cancelling the Xfinity Internet service, you may still incur charges for the next billing cycle if the cancellation occurs mid-cycle. Regular service charges continue to apply during any cancellation period. Once the cancellation is completed, you receive a credit for the difference on the days that were charged in advance, since we bill one month in advance. To get a refund on a disconnected account, all rented equipment must also be returned or paid for, there must be no billing activity on the account for 15 calendar days, and no payments made in the last 15 calendar days. When the refund is processed, the refund is applied to the last payment method on file in less than 30 days.

It was confirmed from Xfinity on Dec 4th which is the middle of last billing cycle (11/21-12/21). The new charge is for the next billing cycle start from 12/22/2025. I am expecting the full refund for this charge. I already send my the equipment and got delivered at lease 10 days ago.

user_drbb5n, Thanks for confirming this for us. I would be expecting a full refund for this charge, too, if I were in your shoes. To ensure you are set with the correct expectations on the refund, I would like to review the account. To further assist, please send us a direct message with your first/last name and full address. You can start by clicking the "direct message" icon in the upper right page of our forum page. Once you click on that, input our shared handle Xfinity Support to send us a direct message.
