Xfinity ESPN Email xfinity@updates.xfinity.com

Today I chatted with an online agent to confirm if the ESPN email offer was true or not. The agent said this was in fact spam and that he was going to report it and that they do not have an email from Xfinity like this:  xfinity@updates.xfinity.com

But now in this forum I can see that other Xfinity agents have confirmed it is valid which is true??

Hello, @user_sg9oml - I can definitely understand your concern, and I apologize for any conflicting information. To start, I am finding that the email address is legitimate (there may just be confusion around marketing communications vs. support communications).

Effective February 26, 2026, Xfinity TV customers with eligible packages that include the ESPN channel now have access to ESPN Unlimited at no extra cost. This service provides access to live linear channels (ESPN, ESPN2, etc.), on-demand content, and ESPN+ content within the ESPN app. Users must authenticate their TV provider to unlock access.

Eligibility: Must be an Xfinity subscriber to a TV tier that already includes the ESPN channel.
Access: Users can authenticate their Xfinity account within the ESPN app to unlock content, including special events like the WWE Elimination Chamber.
Features: Combines ESPN's linear networks (ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, etc.) and ESPN+ content into one service.
Activation: Users may need to log in to the ESPN app and link their Xfinity account to activate.

This update allows Xfinity customers to access the comprehensive streaming service that previously only offered limited content through the separate "ESPN Select" plan for many users. Please let me know if that clears things up, and if you have any other questions.
