Xfinity charging me $300 a month we were supposed to get a lot better deal we cannot afford this
We were promised a lot cheaper internet then it just kept going up and going up and now it's going to be $310 to turn it back on and we were supposed to get internet for a ridiculously cheap price because we're on EBT we have an elderly family member that lives in the home and school children need internet to do their homework and we do not have money like that $300 a month is killing us we've been without internet for 4 days now that means no TV streaming no homework for the kids granny can't get on her internet and play games and it's been like this for quite a long time now we've been good customers but this is the second month in a row it's got turned off cuz we can't afford it we were actually promised that we would get a discount being that we are on EBT and we don't have a lot of money I'm a father of three children taking care of an elderly parent they should really cut us a break I wish I could find cheaper internet I would drop Xfinity they told my wife before that was because some promotion ran out well that doesn't give anyone that right to price gouge American families that are struggling to even eat and keep the light on

We’re really sorry you’re going through this. Four days without internet when you have kids in school and an elderly family member at home is incredibly stressful. We understand this isn’t just about streaming. It affects homework, staying connected, and everyday life.
First, we want to clear something up. If you qualify for EBT, you may qualify for Internet Essentials, which is a low-cost internet program specifically designed for households with limited income. It’s not a temporary promotion that suddenly jumps hundreds of dollars. It’s a separate program with a set monthly rate.
If your bill has increased because a promotion ended, that does not mean you were misled, but it does mean the account likely rolled to standard pricing once that term expired. That’s common with promotional offers, but we absolutely understand how difficult that can be when budgets are tight.
As for the $310 to restore service, that typically includes past-due balances plus a possible reconnect fee. It’s not a new monthly rate, but we know it still feels overwhelming when money is already stretched.
Our team would be happy to look into this for you. Can you initiate a direct message and start with your full name and address? To start a direct message, you must be signed in.
