Why has internet fee nearly doubled in one year?

I'd like to know why my internet fee has nearly doubled in one year -
Account number:  Ending in ----
01/17/2024 Payment amount:  $47.13
01/17/2025 Payment amount:  $83.13
I use the internet, that is all.  I am not interested in your programming so don't charge me for things I don't even use.
If you raise the rate another time this year, I will immediately cancel and take my business elsewhere.
Sincerely,
Mike

Concern moved here to the Billing help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

It sounds as though the promotion you were on is out now and you'll need to get a new promotion to keep your price down.

Perhaps english isn't your first language.  Xfinity has been incrementally raising their internet rates to pay for their programming.
I don't use their programming, I don't want their programming, and I will not pay for their programming.
I hope this simplification helps.
