Why am I being charged a full bill when I canceled my services and returned all my equipment?
I returned my equipment and canceled my services August 3rd in person at the Xfinity store on Baum Blvd and was told my bill would be pro-rated for the services I did not use. I received a notice that an automatic payment for the full amount of $113.01 would be coming out of my bank account. The billing date states August 1st, and states the charges were from services used July 29th to August 28th. The modem was unplugged and not in use from July 29th to August 3rd and was returned to the Xfinity store in-person by myself August 3rd. So if the billing cycle is from July 29th- August 28th (Today's date is August 18th) and I did not use, have my device plugged in, or even physically posses it for that matter, which can be confirm through the Xfinity website as no data was used at all from this account through the month of August why am I being charged any money at all?

Hey @user_481cdd. Thanks for reaching out. We bill forward for services since they are billed at fixed rates or set promotions. A statement is generated approximately 2 weeks before the affected period, with the payment being due approximately 2 weeks into the period in question. However, when you cancel services we will prorate the charges to that day in the final bill. So you'll be getting a statement mailed to you within 30-days of your cancelation date with a check for the difference. Sorry that wasn't initially explained to you.
If you need I'd be happy to go into detail with you about your specific account. We'd just have to do it via private message.

@user_481cdd As @XfinityAntoine mentioned your billing statement was generated before you canceled your services, so you received your bill as you normally would. Since you have also returned your equipment you should be getting a final statement soon.
Just an FYI, though, which may not apply to you: if you were in a contract at the time you canceled you might get another bill with early termination fees, or those fees might be included in your final bill. If you canceled after your contract ended you won't have to worry about any ETF.
