What is the technician cost for reconfiguring a coax cable wiring in my home?

I was wondering what the expected cost was for having a technician come over to my condominium and reconfigure a coax cable in our second-story room. It has a pre-existing coax cable installed in the room, which is seemingly hanging loosely in the wall because installing the xFi device there was not working, whereas the coax cable downstairs is working.

As per a previous forum post mentioned,

"Any repairs, replacements or reconfigurations of the wiring in the customer’s home. Xfinity is not responsible for in-home wiring, regardless of original installation, nor do our technicians perform custom work including wall fishing."

was a service that would cost something, and I'm curious as to what the cost may be and what additional fees I would need to expect if things were to become more complicated.

Hey there, ryman230, thanks for reaching out through Xfinity Forums regarding your wiring. We would be happy to get you more information on reconfiguring your outlet. Do the wiring issues require wall fishing? Our techs would be unable to complete any wall fishing, and you would need to get a third party contractor for that work.

@XfinityJeniece Ah, yes, it would probably require that, but that's a great answer! Thanks!

We assume the entire coaxial cable is either not connected, or broken somewhere in the wall and would probably need a replacement.

You are so welcome, ryman230. Once the wall fishing is completed to activate the outlet it would be a $100 tech visit to get a new outlet working for you and move your equipment. Let us know if you have any additional questions.
